3. Email communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive email communications from CEUCheck:
- Transactional — account verification, password resets, security alerts.
- Service — license renewal reminders, CEU deadline notifications.
- Promotional — feature news, special offers, partner promotions.
You may opt out of promotional emails at any time. You cannot opt out of transactional emails necessary for account operation.
4. Permitted use
Our Services are provided for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
- Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful content
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use automated systems (bots) to access the Services
- Share your account credentials with others
5. User content
You may upload content such as CE certificates and course information. You retain ownership of your User Content and grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it solely to provide the Services.
You represent that you own or have rights to upload the content, that it does not violate third-party rights, and that it does not contain illegal or harmful material.
6. Intellectual property
The Services, including all content and functionality (excluding User Content), are owned by CEUCheck and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit our content without prior written permission.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that information on our website is complete, accurate, or current; that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; or that any errors will be corrected.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for verifying all continuing education requirements with your state board of nursing.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CEUCHECK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:
- Loss of licensure or professional standing
- Missed renewal deadlines or requirements
- Reliance on inaccurate information
- Loss of data or unauthorized access
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CEUCheck and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, harms users, or is fraudulent or illegal.
12. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
